St. John’s Church has initiated two medical mission trips to Kenya, Africa, to our mission partners the Emahaya Group of the Disabled. The first trip occurred during 2013 and the latest trip was for two weeks, returning home on Saturday, March 12, 2016.

- - Community REACH - -

St. John’s Church over the years has provided support to the local community by supporting Community REACH, formerly Red Lion Area Community Services with food for their pantry, school supplies for their back-to-school program, and monetary donations.

Established in 1974 and incorporated in 1975, Community REACH, Inc. is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit human services agency providing basic items of support to nearly 350 families residing in the Dallastown, Eastern York, and Red Lion school districts of York County. Food insecurity is a real concern for nearly 12% of the population.

Community REACH provides a wide range of services including a choice food pantry, school supplies, cold weather gear, plus classes. Their friendly staff and volunteers are available to resource, educate, advocate, connect and help their guests and our community.

- - Free Community Breakfast - -

St. John’s Church hosts a free community breakfast on the last Saturday of each month from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. The focus of this service is to provide physical and spiritual nourishment. A nutritious meal is provided to those in need while sharing and spreading the Love of Jesus Christ.

Many other opportunities for outreach become apparent at which time St. John’s and the people of this congregation consistently step-up to help those in need.
