Called To Care

The Called to Care ministry team provides care and love for people in need, especially those experiencing a family, medical or financial crisis.  Team members care by listening, supporting, encouraging, and praying.  Team members also conduct visitation to shut-ins, nursing home residents, and hospitalized members, as well as sending cards and making supportive phone calls.  Tangible services include transportation, meals, and other assistance such as light housework or yard work, on a temporary basis.  The Called to Care team formulated the following mission statement:  “We desire to show Christ to St. John’s members in the way that we care for each other.  We recognize that lifestyles, life stages, and life circumstances alter the health and wellbeing of individuals and family units… consequently the ministry of Called to Care is designed to assist with those needs.”
