WOMEN'S FELLOWSHIP
Meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm
in the Social Hall from September through May
All women of St. John's are members of the Women's Fellowship and are invited to attend its monthly gatherings. Members present the programs, which are based on United Church of Christ resources for women. This year's theme is "Self-esteem: Seeing Ourselves as God Sees
Us." Special events throughout the year include speakers, a hymn sing at the Dallastown Nursing Center, fund raisers, and our May covered dish dinner. The congregation is invited to hear special speakers, and our fund raisers benefit the Red Lion area and beyond.
Come Join our Fellowship!
ST. JOHN'S JOKERS
Meets the second Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm
in the Social RoomFor Seniors and those at home during the day, join the St. John's Jokers for an entertaining afternoon. Members take turns hosting the event. Be sure to bring a joke to start out the afternoon in the spirit of fun.
CALLED TO CARECalled to Care: St. John's Cares, is a program offering special ministry by voluntary CAREGIVERS, on call to respond to special needs of our members and neighbors. One CAREGIVER is on call each day of the month to respond to one or more of these needs:
 |
- visitation
- transportation
- respite care
- household chores
- yard chores/minor repairs
- meal preparation
- recreational outing
- short-term child care
- prayer support
- crisis calling
- sending cards or letters
- telephone contact
|
Rather than a primary care system like visiting nurse, day care services, or cleaning services, Called to Care is a network of support available during emergency and crisis situations. The primary goal of the Called to Care program is to have our members and neighbors in need, know that we care for them.
Call the church office or email
us to volunteer.
